Stupid Golf Question

How should a beginner practice at the range?

The bucket is full and every club in the bag is asking for attention

Plain answer first

The plain answer

Warm up with small swings, spend most of the bucket on one or two clubs, and aim every shot at a target. Save a few balls for a simple on-course sequence instead of hitting driver until the bucket disappears.

The NPG answer

A bucket is practice equipment, not a countdown clock for how fast you can hit driver.

When it matters

It matters when range sessions feel busy but do not build confidence for an actual round.

What to do next

Use a small bucket: start with wedges, work on one middle club, then finish by changing targets and clubs between shots.

Do this next

The first driving range visit, in 4 steps

A 4-step plan for your first bucket, so you walk out with a few swings you can actually remember.
